HOLY MYSTERIES

In the Orthodox Church, a Sacrament is referred to as a Holy Mystery. The Church recognizes seven Holy Mysteries: Baptism, Chrismation, Eucharist, Healing with Oil, Marriage, Reconciliation, and Ordination.

The Holy Mysteries are the means by which we participate in divine grace and worship God. Each Divine Mystery encompasses an outward sign and an inner, indelible mark on the soul. Saint Dymphna's welcomes all who seek to receive the Holy Mysteries of the Orthodox Church, provided they have prepared themselves through catechism, Initiation, reconciliation, and other appropriate means with the help of a Priest or Deacon.

Orthodoxy is traditionally inclusive, embracing all individuals regardless of their background. Our faith teaches us that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, deserving of respect, dignity, and love. At Saint Dymphna's, we strive to create a welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone can experience the transformative power of God's grace. Whether you are new to the faith or have been on your spiritual journey for many years, you will find a home here with us.

If you are in need of a Sacrament, or if you simply wish to learn more about the Orthodox faith, please contact us. We are here to support you and walk with you on your spiritual journey.
